About Us
Beak Brush was started by two passionate animators in Sydney Australia. They met in university and had high ambitions to start their careers in the industry, but due to the COVID 19 pandemic, their plans for getting into established animation studios were halted. Seeing demand for animation in Australia, they got together to start their own small animation studio, and are ready to share their talent and art with the world
James Dickson and Crystal Thurley met at university in 2018 and became fast friends. All being in the same animation course, they helped each other work on their own projects, and with projects they made together. During their time at Uni, the COVID-19 pandemic left everyone learning and working from home. By the time they graduated, they were left with no graduation, no further help from their institution, and were sent off on their own with no promises that they'll get work in the animation industry.
The team struggled through the COVID pandemic and having employment being at an all-time low, they had no chance to get work in any animation studios. However, with a stroke of luck, the team banded together to start creating animations for clients online, and look forward to a bright future ahead of them
